Cancer Specialists of North Florida is dedicated to providing the best possible care for each and every one of our patients. We deliver an integrated approach to conquering cancer and blood disorders. Our board-certified physicians and highly trained staff are committed to providing patients with the information, education, compassion, and support they need.
CSNF is the largest, private, physician-owned group in the region, with 27 physicians and eleven clinic locations.
As we continue to expand, we are proud to announce the two newest additions to our practice, Radiation Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. Our first center is scheduled to open in August 2014. It will be conveniently located off John Turner Butler (JTB) highway at the Belfort exit. This center will include radiation, gynecologic oncology, hematology, oncology, PET/CT imaging, pathology, social work, specialty pharmacy and access to cutting-edge medical therapies through clinical research. Our second location will open later this year in Fleming Island. Both centers will allow each patient to receive all services in one location through every step of their process.
Our practice happily welcomes Shazia Bashir as our first Gynecologic Oncologist. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins University and her fellowship at Columbia and Cornell Universities. She received her Masters in Public Health at Boston University. She shares our vision of fostering a close relationship with patients while providing the most advanced care available from diagnosis to survivorship.
We are also excited to welcome Emily Tanzler as our first Radiation Oncologist. She completed her residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville where she developed a special interest in the treatment of brain tumors and skin cancer. She is a Jacksonville native who is passionate about providing patient-centered care for the whole patient—not just radiation to their tumor.
