Community Nutcracker Auditions
The Community Nutcracker hosts auditions for its 19th annual holiday performances (December 10 and 11 at the Florida Theatre) on Friday, September 10, 5 PM, at the Ballet Arts Centre, 1621 Camden Ave., Saturday, September 11, 8 AM, FSCJ Wilson Center, 11901 Beach Blvd. Dancers needed as young as two to adults. The Wedding Singer
With a score that pays homage to the pop songs of the 1980s, "The Wedding Singer" takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, and a wedding band just might be the coolest guys in the room. "The Wedding Singer" opens September 8 at The Alhambra, complete with a live band. And every Saturday night, following the play, the band rocks on with patrons invited to stick around and dance, like a real wedding reception. Dogtoberfest
First Coast No More Homeless Pets' largest public fundraising event takes place Saturday, October 9, 9 AM-2 PM, Metro Park, Downtown. Dogtoberfest is a fun people and pooch walk featuring a costume contest and trick or treating. Participation in the walk is a minimum $25 donation per participant. Costume contest is $5 additional per category. The mission of First Coast No More Homeless Pets is to eliminate the killing of dogs and cats in our community through free and low-cost spay/neuter programs.
