Describe your customer service model.
Four-season service with FedEx efficiency. No one works here without a complete understanding of how important our job is. We have a servant’s attitude toward filling our client’s needs.
What is your investment philosophy?
We are risk managers with a proactive approach. We use a consensus model for decision making that employs various individuals and quantitative models. We believe that investment portfolios should be unique to each client’s situation and should utilize non-proprietary (no ‘house’ brand) products.
Do you offer financial planning?
Yes. We employ superior data gathering software that aggregates information in real time. Our output is unique to each household or business. No one-size-fits-all planning. No book reports with canned information.
Describe your risk management philosophy.
It is imperative to remove ego and emotion from the decision making process. A disciplined approach to entry and exit points is key. Risk management from an insurance and liability stand-point is also imperative.
Define the added value of your services in relationship to your fees.
We feel that we provide significant value for professional services. Most of our revenue is generated from managing fee-based accounts through LPL Financial. We also derive income from filling our clients financial planning and insurance needs.

Joe Krier is the president of Krier Wealth Management, a financial consulting and investment management firm that covers 32 states. He has been a registered financial advisor since 1989 and currently is a registered principal of LPL Financial, the largest independent broker-dealer in the United States (based on total revenues as reported in Financial Planning Magazine, June 1996-2012).
Joe received dual bachelor’s degrees from Oakland University and specializes in simple to complex financial management issues and estate and legacy planning. He has taught investment and planning concepts across the country including the University of North Florida. He appears weekly on WJXT’s Morning Show to discuss current events and their impact on people’s money.
Joe is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER,™ Chartered Financial Consultant, Certified Life Underwriter and trustee of the Krier Financial Charitable Trust. He has ranked in the top 1 percent of LPL’s 12,000 plus advisors for the past three consecutive years (based on overall production for 2009, 2010 and 2011).
