Jocelyn Tolbert is relative newcomer to Jacksonville; she came to the River City in 2010 from a tiny town in North Carolina with only a few boxes packed in her Mitsubishi.
She graduated from UNF in 2013 with a bachelor’s in English. She was 9 years old when she published her first written work: a short story about a substitute teacher, which won second place in a fiction contest.
She’s a self-described geek; she met her future husband on World of Warcraft, is a “Star Trek” and “Battlestar Galactica” devotee, and is sometimes jokingly called the captain of her bar trivia team, The Red Nasties.
Jocelyn is a pescetarian, and will eat anything with coconut on it. You can find her most evenings on her couch with the TV on and her cell phone in hand. She once backpacked through Europe and fell down the stairs at the Louvre. She enjoys cooking, yoga, evening walks and margaritas.
