Virginia Chamlee has lived in Jacksonville nearly her whole life. After a stint at SMU in Dallas, TX, she graduated from UNF and began interning at Jacksonville Magazine. She later worked as a political and environmental reporter, during which time she reported about slimy water and even slimier politicians. In addition to writing, she loves to watch Jeopardy!, cook and play with her dog, Chloe (a rescued lab-shepherd mix). She is a life-long lover of fashion and, on weekends, you can usually find her scouring estate sales and antique stores for one-of-a-kind vintage finds. She also loves art and currently serves as president of the MOCA Contemporaries.
Strange facts about Virginia: She once filmed an episode of Reading Rainbow as a child but was so shy that the producers chose not to air it. She also once rescued a mini-horse that had run away from a petting zoo.
