Describe your practice.
Our wealth management team, which consists of three wealth advisors, one CFP and two sales assistants, is dedicated to high net worth individuals, their families and foundations. We provide recommendations founded on a culture of excellence and driven by global insight. Our team serves as trusted advisors committed to helping protect and grow one’s wealth for both current lifetime needs and future legacy desires.
1. We work comprehensively with our clients’ wealth management plans.
2. We seek to provide a high level of service utilizing our 12 step wealth management process, an in-depth, client-centered strategy that is designed to address fundamental financial planning issues.
3. We utilize the vast resources of Morgan Stanley to customize clients’ wealth management solutions employing an open architecture supported by our due diligence process. As suitable, we proactively implement Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Committee’s tactical asset allocation frameworks.
4. We deliver this service in a highly personalized way creating a customized communication plan for each client. This plan helps to ensure that each client’s portfolio is designed to keep pace with life events and market changes.
What is your investment philosophy?
Rather than merely placing clients’ money with third parties, our Senior Portfolio Manager, Neil Powell, actively manages assets on a discretionary basis through our firm’s Portfolio Management Program. We have several strategies that vary in risk tolerance from ultra conservative to aggressive. These strategies represent our team’s best ideas in action. Our strategies combine a solid core strategy with a proactive tactical approach. Our over-riding objective is for each strategy to outperform their respective benchmarks net of fees, on both a total and risk-adjusted basis. We are willing to modestly underperform in a bull market, if it means we may outperform in a bear market. We work closely with Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Committee, analysts, strategists, and economists to help identify the most suitable investments in various asset classes, sectors and countries. We conduct all of our own primary research supplementing the vast resources at Morgan Stanley with research from third party sources.
Do you offer financial planning?
Yes, we offer financial planning and much more. We work with our clients to develop a strategy that lays out a clear path to their goals. We guide our clients through the 12 most important wealth management issues they will face:
1) Investments & Risk Tolerance; 2) Financial Planning; 3) Social Security & Medicare; 4) Liabilities; 5) Qualified Retirement Plans; 6) Insurance; 7) Stock Option Issues; 8) Business Succession Planning; 9) Titling of Assets; 10) Estate Planning; 11) Gifting to Charity/Children/Descendents; 12) Beneficiary Plan & Future Distribution of Wealth. After agreeing to and implementing a plan that reflects each client’s risk tolerance and goals, we carefully monitor and update each plan to incorporate new aspirations and priorities.
