The Riverside Avondale Preservation’s third annual Bootlegger’s Ball was held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard on Saturday, May 3. Attendees dressed up in flapper style and zoot suits to celebrate Riverside Avondale’s heyday, the roaring ’20s. Food was provided by Biscotti’s, Hawkers Asian Street Fare, Pele’s Wood Fire, Blind Fig and Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails. Mojo No.4 stirred up classic 1920s cocktails and Bold City Brewery provided beer. The 77ds played some seedy 1920s tunes in the main hall while the casino was held in Craig Hall.
